Daily Itinerary:

Gathering Day - October 6
  • Travelers depart for our ‘gathering overnight’ hotel in South Bend, IN. 
  • Get acquainted with fellow travelers and your tour manager, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast the following morning

DAY 1- October 7 (D)
  • As we depart Indiana, sit back and leave the driving to us, and enjoy Ohio farm country views
  • Climbing the Pennsylvania mountains and crossing the Allegheny River we’ll arrive in Shanksville, PA to visit Flight 93 National Memorial and Visitor’s Center. Once a common field, it became a field of honor forever
  • We’ll enjoy dinner together tonight prior to a restful night in Somerset, PA

DAY 2- October 8 (B,L)
  • Upon arrival in Philadelphia, named "the birthplace of America", a tour of the Museum of the American Revolution awaits us - bringing relics of the Revolutionary War into public view for the first time in decades
  • Let’s do lunch! When in Philadelphia, enjoying a Philly cheesesteak is a must!
  • Our two-night Philadelphia stay is near the Ben Franklin Bridge, a suspension bridge spanning the Delaware River, connecting Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ

DAY 3- October 9 (B,D)
  • We’ll immerse ourselves in history and explore the landmarks that represent our nation’s founding, with visits to Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, the National Constitution Center and a walk through the historic district past Betsy Ross’s House and Christ Church
  • Prior to our dinner at Chart House, the afternoon is yours to explore the “City of Brotherly Love” at your leisure

DAY 4- October 10 (B,D)
  • Welcome to "The Big Apple”, with a three-night stay near Times Square! NYC, the largest city in the U.S., is an architectural marvel, with historic monuments, magnificent buildings, and dazzling skyscrapers. IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE: While in New York City, we may take multiple subway rides, and not all subway stations are handicapped accessible
  • We’ll spend time reflecting with our visit to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum
  • On a walking tour, we’ll explore Wall Street, Trinity Church, St. Paul’s Chapel, FDNY Memorial Wall and Ten House and more!
  • After a day of touring, we’ll enjoy dinner together

DAY 5- October 11 (B)
  • For early risers, the Today Show!
  • A tour favorite: Lights! Camera! Action! NBC Studio tour! We’ll see the sets of famous TV shows and learn how they are produced
  • Ascending 70 floors to Top of the Rock observation deck will offer us a spectacular 360-degree view of all of Manhattan Island, Central Park and the East and Hudson Rivers
  • Enjoy a free afternoon and evening to explore the many sites, sounds, and dining options in the “city that never sleeps”. [Tour favorite suggestion: Visiting St. Patrick’s Cathedral]
  • We’ll “give our regards to Broadway” this evening with the first of our two Broadway shows – TBA

DAY 6- October 12 (B,L)
  • We’ll start the day becoming immersed in the immigrant story with a ferry ride to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
  • Our walking tour up Broadway will take us through historic Bowling Green Park, past the famous bronze bull, the Wall Street Stock Exchange area and on to Trinity Church and St. Paul’s Chapel – the little church that stood through the 9/11 trauma
  • This afternoon, we’ll take in another Broadway show – TBA
  • Tonight, catch the feeling of NYC in Times Square, enjoying dinner on your own and taking in the hustle and bustle of this famous site

DAY 7- October 13 (B,D)
  • We say a fond farewell to NYC this morning as we make our way to Cleveland, OH
  • Upon our arrival in Cleveland, OH, our overnight stay, we’ll visit the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument. This Monument’s impressive structure, consisting of a 125’ column surrounded at its base by a Memorial Room and esplanade, and topped with a statue of the Goddess of Freedom, honors the over 9000 Cleveland-area individuals who served in the Civil War Union Army
  • A short walk away, the Fountain of Eternal Life, also referred to as "Peace Arising from the Flames of War", is a symbol for the constant effort for peace
  • Our dinner together tonight will be a perfect time to share with each other our favorite tour sites and experiences prior to turning in for the evening

DAY 8- October 14 (B,L)
  • Music is a universal language! Before we depart Cleveland, we’ll check out the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Dedicated to preserving the living legacy of music, from Delta blues, rock and roll and hip-hop to industrial, soul and alternative styles
  • Welcome back to your departure locations!
