Daily Itinerary:


Gathering Day - September 16
  • Travelers departing from IOWA & MINNESOTA take advantage of a transfer to our ‘gathering overnight’ hotel in the Chicagoland area. All remaining travelers can either arrive on your own at the hotel for a complimentary overnight, or choose to wait and join the group on September 17 from one of our identified Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana pick-up locations
  • For those spending the night at the Chicagoland area hotel, get acquainted with fellow travelers and your tour manager; and enjoy a complimentary breakfast the following morning

Day 1- September 17 (B,D)
  • Sit back, enjoy the scenery and leave the driving to us as we motor our way to Erie, PA
  • After our journey today, we’ll enjoy dinner together prior to a restful overnight at the Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel – Erie, PA

Day 2- September 18 (B)
  • This morning we start with a stop at the Made in America flagship store with its motto “For Country, For Soldier, For American Worker and For Our Children's Future". This store is the largest 100% American-made retailer in the USA
  • We may get a little wet – however, the Maid of the Mist boat ride is a “must-do”!
  • After Maid of the Mist, enjoy the rest of afternoon and evening to eat, shop and explore. [Guest note: From past traveler highlights, a couple of free time options to consider: 1) walk across bridge to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls for a different, yet stunning view – make sure you have your passport; or 2) purchase tickets to take a scenic narrated ride on the Niagara Park trolley]
  • Tonight, our restful overnight will be at the Comfort Inn “The Pointe”-Niagara Falls, NY

Day 3- September 19 (B,D)
  • We’ll enjoy a leisurely travel day as we make our way through New England’s scenic landscape to Vermont
  • Upon arrival, we’ll dine together prior to a relaxing evening and overnight at The Grand Hotel-Killington, VT

Day 4- September 20 (B,D)
  • Crisp Vermont air will greet us as we meet our local guide
  • Visiting the New England Maple Museum, we’ll learn maple syrup history and taste some samples!
  • We’ll travel back in time at Plymouth Notch, the birth place of our 30th President Calvin Coolidge
  • After a photo stop at Quechee Gorge (Vermont’s Little Grand Canyon), we’ll make our way to New Hampshire where we’ll enjoy dinner together prior to the first of our two-night stay at Towne Place Suites–Gilford, NH

Day 5- September 21 (B,D)
  • Our local New Hampshire guide will welcome us with historic and colorful stops, including a view of the Old Man of the Mountain at Franconia Notch State Park and a nature lover’s paradise at Crawford Notch
  • Vibrant colors and historic stops will continue as we travel along the Kancamagus National Scenic Byway
  • A sure memory-making moment - Loon Mountain Gondola Ride for breathtaking views of White Mountain National Forrest
  • Dinner together will be a perfect time to share your tour highlights thus far

Day 6- September 22 (B,D)
  • After traveling through New Hampshire’s beautiful lakes region we’ll arrive in Maine
  • Our local guide will greet us with a Kennebunkport tour to include a drive past the Bush compound
  • We’ll discover the history of Portland – boyhood home of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and home to the Portland Head Lighthouse, the most photographed lighthouse in America
  • Prior to a restful night – the first of two nights at the Hampton Inn-Portland, ME - we’ll dine together

Day 7- September 23 (B,L)
  • A wonderful way to start the day – setting sail on a scenic narrated Boothbay Harbor Cruise. We’ll view beautiful homes, lighthouses, and may even be greeted by "barks” from local seal residents
  • Donning our souvenir lobster hats (a truly unique fashion statement), we’ll be ready for our traditional Maine lobster lunch. (An alternate selection is available for “land-lubbers”)
  • Located on the Kennebec River, the Maine Maritime Museum depicts Maine’s shipbuilding industry
  • Enjoy a free evening to relax and enjoy dinner on your own

Day 8- September 24 (B,D)
  • We’ll step back in time when strolling through Old Sturbridge Village – a re-creation of an 1830s New England town
  • A truly mouth-watering dining experience awaits us at the Salem Cross Inn, starting with prime rib roasted over a crackling fire and ending with homemade deep dish apple pie with whipped cream
  • Enjoy a restful overnight at the Comfort Inn & Suites, Sturbridge

Day 9- September 25 (B,D)
  • We begin our journey home, traveling again through beautiful countryside to Pennsylvania
  • Prior to our overnight at the Best Western Hotel Plus in Lewisburg, PA, we’ll enjoy dining together

Day 10- September 26 (B)
  • Travelers departing the tour in INDIANA, welcome back to your departure locations!
  • Travelers continuing on to Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota, enjoy a relaxing overnight in the Mishawaka area

Day 11- September 27 (B)
  • Travelers departing the tour in ILLINOIS, WISCONSIN, IOWA or MINNESOTA, welcome back to your departure locations!

Deposit: $500 per person plus additional premium for Trip Cancellation / Interruption Protection.
