Daily Itinerary:

Gathering Day - October 1
  • Travelers departing from IOWA & MINNESOTA take advantage of a transfer to our ‘gathering overnight’ hotel in the Chicagoland area. All remaining travelers can either arrive on your own at the hotel for a complimentary overnight, or choose to wait and join the group on October 2 from one of our identified Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana pick-up locations
  • For those spending the night at the Chicagoland area hotel, get acquainted with fellow travelers and your tour manager, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast the following morning

Day 1- October 2 (D)
  • Enjoy the scenic views and get to know your travel mates as we continue east towards New York’s Finger Lakes region, known for breathtaking scenery and wineries – both included on this tour
  • After a day of travel, we’ll enjoy dinner together prior to a relaxing overnight at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Erie, PA

Day 2- October 3 (B,D)
  • “Lucy, I’m home!” Those words, spoken by Desi Arnaz on almost every I Love Lucy episode, will come to mind on our self-guided tour of the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum
  • An explosion of brilliant colors awaits us as we enjoy a guided tour of the Corning Museum of Glass that includes live hot glass blowing demonstrations
  • Prior to turning in at the Hampton Inn in Horseheads, NY, we’ll enjoy dinner together

Day 3- October 4 (B,D)
  • We’ll start our day with a local guide to learn more about the area where Mark Twain was reported to have written “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”, “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”, and “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court,” among other famous works
  • An enjoyable way to spend an afternoon – taking a Captain Bill’s Seneca Lake Cruise, where we’ll view firsthand stunning sights that can only be seen from the water and learn about the area’s history
  • Red or white? Sweet or dry? We’ll enjoy a wine tasting made from locally grown grapes. AND yes, you can purchase some to take home
  • Dinner tonight will be together prior to turning in for the night at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Geneva, NY

Day 4- October 5 (B,D)
  • An adventurous way to start our day – a Niagara Fall’s Cave of the Winds visit. We’ll ride an elevator down into Niagara Gorge where we’ll have a truly stunning view of Bridal Veil Falls [Guest note: Clad in a bright yellow poncho and wearing the special footwear provided, we will follow a tour guide over a series of wooden walkways to the famous “Hurricane Deck”]
  • Prior to our gathering for dinner tonight, enjoy a free afternoon for lunching, shopping and exploring this beautiful area [Guest note: From past traveler highlights, a couple of free time options to consider: 1) walk across bridge to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls for a different, yet stunning view – make sure you have your passport; or 2) purchase tickets to take a scenic narrated ride on the Niagara Park trolley]
  • Known internationally, Niagara Falls is a must-see for its natural breathtaking beauty! After dinner tonight, an awe-inspiring and colorful view awaits us as we experience the Falls illuminated in glowing colors and booming with specular fireworks
  • After a day filled with unique sights, our first of two relaxing overnights at the Comfort Inn The Pointe will be welcomed

Day 5- October 6 (B,D)
  • This morning starts with more stunning and unobstructed Niagara Falls views from Prospect Point Observation Tower
  • Enjoy some free time for additional exploration of this magnificent natural wonder
  • You may get a little wet, however, the Maid of the Mist boat ride to the base of Horseshoe Falls is a thrilling must-do
  • Tonight, we’ll enjoy our dinner together. It will be a wonderful time to share our personal tour highlights

Day 6- October 7 (B)
  • Bidding a fond farewell to New York and Pennsylvania, we start our return journey home
  • Sit back, relax and enjoy the passing views while sharing your trip highlights with follow travel mates
  • Travelers departing the tour in INDIANA, ILLINOIS and WISCONSIN, welcome back to your departure locations!
