Daily Itinerary:

Day 1- September 29 (D)
  • Take advantage of convenient pick-up options in INDIANA, ILLINOIS or WISCONSIN and enjoy the scenic views as we travel towards beautiful Door County
  • After a day of travel, we’ll enjoy dinner together at Mink River Basin - one of Door County’s premier dining destinations
  • Enjoy the first of three restful nights at your home-away-from-home on this tour – Rowleys Bay Resort

Day 2- September 30 (B,L,D)
  • We’ll see and experience some uniquely Door County sites over the next two-days with an experienced and knowledgeable local guide and motorcoach driver who will be joining us on our tour
  • All aboard! for an enjoyable 30-minute ferry ride to Washington Island
  • Upon arrival, a beach of white limestone – made up of stones of all shapes and sizes, worn smooth by lake waters - will greet us at School House Beach
  • Agricultural history will come alive on our visit to Washington Island Farm Museum
  • A family-owned business, Mann’s Mercantile, offers something for everyone including their homemade cream & butter fudge! YUM!
  • Lunching together at Ships Wheel Restaurant, we’ll relax while watching the passing sailboats
  • After ferrying back to the mainland, we’ll enjoy the scent of lavender in the air with our visit to Island Lavender Farm and Market in Ephraim. This shop offers many unique lavender products. Yes, you can purchase some to bring home should you wish!
  • Another uniquely Door County event welcomes us this evening - a fish boil dinner buffet at Rowleys Bay Resort. While dining, we’ll also be entertained with stories shared by an actor who plays the part of the bay’s namesake, Peter Rowley

Day 3- October 1 (B)
  • We’ll again start our day with our local guide showing us more of Door County’s unique sites
  • Panoramic views will surround us from Eagle Tower at Peninsula State Park (reopened in 2021 with the added accessibility option of an 850-foot ramp)
  • Going back in time, we’ll learn the history of Eagle Bluff Lighthouse 
  • We’ll enjoy a wagon ride through Lautenbach’s Orchard Country (weather permitting)
  • A fun and unique experience that is truly a Door County taste treat – lunch at Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik. Be on the lookout for goats on the roof! YES, truly there are goats on the restaurant’s roof!
  • Stunning rock formations provide a gorgeous Door County backdrop at Cave Point County Park
  • Our next scenic stop at Whitefish Dunes State Park immerses us in the land of dunes and awe
  • Free time is yours to dine and explore Egg Harbor, named one of the best small towns in America. It is a food lover’s delight with its diverse food stores and restaurants [Hint: You may also wish to check out Woodwalk Gallery - featuring 75+ local artisans]

Day 4- October 2 (B)
  • As we continue our journey towards your departure locations, now is the perfect time to talk with your fellow travel mates about your Door County favorite sites and experiences
  • A fun stop for a scatter lunch on your own – Milwaukee Public Market with specialty vendors on the 2nd floor Palm Garden. ENJOY!
  • A fun rest stop is ours at Mars Cheese Castle. Enjoy browsing their many varieties of cheeses and more!
  • We return to our departure locations, with wonderful memories, unique personal photos and tales of your adventure to share with family and friends!

Additional Tour Information:

Deposit: $200 per person. Plus optional Trip Cancellation / Interruption Protection. If you choose to include this benefit, please ask your agent for cost.

Cancellation Policy: 120 days or more prior to departure: Admin Fee (25% of deposit) forfeited;  119- 75 days prior to departure: no penalty; 74- 30 days prior to departure: 50% of tour price forfeited. 29 days or less prior to departure: full price of tour forfeited.
