Daily Itinerary:

Day 1- August 4

Group air transportation is available on this tour. If group air is not taken, meet the group in Fairbanks, AK to begin the tour. Please make sure to schedule your flight to arrive prior to the start of the tour
For those travelers purchasing the group air transportation, you will enjoy an airport transfer to Chicago O’Hare prior to your flight
Welcome to Alaska – the “Last Frontier”
After a day of travel, we will be met by our local tour director and make our way to our hotel.
Enjoy a restful evening in Fairbanks, AK – the “Golden Heart City”

Day 2- August 5 (B,D)

We’ll start our day with a Fairbanks city tour, featuring the Trans-Alaska Pipeline
This afternoon, we’ll experience the thrill of river travel aboard a sternwheeler. We will travel along the Chena River into the heart of Alaska to experience a small piece of Alaska life
During our river excursion, we’ll have the opportunity to view a local sled dog team in action and visit the Chena Indian Village
Prior to our overnight in Fairbanks we'll enjoy a Salmon Bake dinner together, a wonderful “Alaskan” way to cap off our day

Day 3- August 6 (B)

Boarding a deluxe-dome railcar, we’ll enjoy a scenic journey south to Denali National Park
Upon arrival into Denali, the rest of the day is yours to explore at your leisure or purchase an optional tour: hiking, flightseeing, rafting and more [Guest Note: Be sure to check out the Denali Visitor Center for an introduction to Denali National Park]
For our overnight accommodations we’ll be surrounded by the rugged beauty of Denali National Park

Day 4- August 7 (B,L)

Our narrated 6 – 8-hour Denali National Park Tundra Wilderness Tour combines unique insights of this amazing region, as well as impressive views with the opportunity to see wildlife, such as moose, bear, wolves, caribou and Dall sheep
After our tour, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy prior to another restful night in Denali National Park

Day 5- August 8 (B)

Breathtaking views await, traveling to Talkeetna by glass-domed railcar
The rest of the day and evening are yours to enjoy the quaint village of Talkeetna, nestled at the base of Denali

Day 6- August 9 (B)

More stunning views await as we travel by deluxe motorcoach to Seward, with a stop in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, for a lunch on your own
Arriving early evening in the coastal community of Seward, enjoy free time prior to turning in for a restful night

Day 7- August 10 (B,L,D)

An exciting Alaska adventure awaits us today! We’ll enjoy a glacier and wildlife cruise heading into Kenai Fjords National Park. While aboard, have your camera at the ready as we explore the face of a glacier; be on the lookout for whales, sea lions, otters, and more.
An added treat – we’ll have an included lunch on board so we don’t miss any sites!
At the conclusion of our cruise, we’ll board our deluxe motorcoach for a scenic transfer to Anchorage where we’ll enjoy dinner together prior to turning in

Day 8- August 11 (B,D)

After breakfast, enjoy a free leisurely morning
This afternoon, we’ll enjoy an Anchorage city tour, followed by some free time for you to take a local adventure or maybe do some last-minute souvenir shopping prior to dinner
At our dinner together, it will be a perfect time to share some of your favorite Alaska sights and adventures
We bid a fond farewell to Alaska as we are transferred to the Anchorage Airport for our overnight return flight to Chicago O’Hare

Day 9- August 12

We’ll arrive at Chicago O’Hare very early in the morning
For those travelers who purchased the group air package, upon disembarking from the plane, you will be greeted by your transfer driver for your return trip to your chosen tour departure location
You return home with wonderful memories, unique personal photos and tales of your adventure to share with family and friends
