Daily Itinerary:

Gathering Day - April 14
  • Take advantage of a transfer to our ‘gathering overnight’ hotel in Mishawaka, IN. 
  • For those spending the night at the Mishawaka hotel, get acquainted with fellow travelers and your tour manager, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast the following morning

April 15 (D)
  • This morning, enjoy the rolling farmland views as we travel to Kentucky
  • Tonight, our overnight stay is in Richmond, part of Kentucky’s Bluegrass region
  • Prior to turning in for the evening at the Hampton Inn, we’ll enjoy dinner together

April 16 (B,D)
  • Leaving Kentucky, we travel to South Carolina, the “Palmetto State”, named for the Palmetto trees native to the area
  • Enjoy the views as we continue our drive through this beautiful state known for its beaches and historic districts (some we’ll have the opportunity to explore later while on this tour)
  • We'll enjoy dinner together before our restful night at the Doubletree, Columbia, SC

April 17 (B,D)
  • On our guided tour of Charleston's chic French Quarter and Battery districts, we’ll cross cobblestone streets lined with pastel antebellum houses. Across the water from The Battery promenade, we’ll view Fort Sumter
  • We’ll dine together tonight at a local restaurant prior to checking in at the Hampton Inn, Charleston for the first of our two-night stay

April 18 (B)
  • We saw it from afar on our city tour yesterday; today is our opportunity to explore Fort Sumter. The attack on Fort Sumter is noted as the beginning of the American Civil War
  • The afternoon and evening are yours to explore the unique restaurants and shops of Old City Market, a cultural center of Charleston

April 19 (B)
  • It’s tea time! We’ll visit Charleston Tea Plantation, North America’s only tea plantation, where we’ll see hundreds of thousands of tea bushes stretching out acre after acre
  • Enjoy lunch and free time in the charming and historic community of Beaufort, known for its scenic location and preservation of antebellum architecture
  • Our overnights for the next two-nights are at the Courtyard by Marriott in Savannah, GA
  • Enjoy dinner on your own at one of the restaurants conveniently located close to our hotel

April 20 (B,D)
  • We’ll be buzzing with our visit to the Savannah Bee Factory. We’ll view the amazing activities of these insects while watching their glass-encased hives and touring an outdoor bee garden
  • In spring, Savannah comes alive with colorful blooms. Soaked in Southern charm, we’ll view cobblestone streets, manicured gardens, and oak trees adorned with Spanish Moss
  • After our guided city tour, enjoy free time to explore this beautiful city and have lunch on your own
  • Prior to a restful evening, dinner will be enjoyed together

April 21 (B,D)
  • Continuing on our tour, we’ll visit the Illuminarium, Atlanta, GA for a truly unique, immersive, and cinematic experience
  • Dining at Mary Mac Tea Room is a must when visiting Atlanta! Known for serving made-from-scratch true southern fare, Mary Mac is filled with genuine southern hospitality
  • Enjoy a restful overnight at the Drury Inn & Suites Marietta

April 22 (B,D)
  • Today, we relax and enjoy the passing scenery on our way to our overnight in Lexington, KY
  • Enjoy dinner together before turning in for the night at the Hilton Garden Inn

April 23 (B)
  • As we start our journey home, sit back, relax and enjoy the passing views while sharing your trip highlights with your fellow travel mates
