  • Prior to our overnight stay at the Drury Inn & Suites, we’ll enjoy dinner together

March 21 (B,D)
  • Upon arriving in Memphis, TN, we’ll tour Graceland, one-time home to the King of Rock ‘n Roll, Elvis Presley. We’ll tour his mansion, see his gold records, view his jeweled jumpsuits, check out his classic cars, and experience interactive exhibits
  • Tonight, we’ll join together for dinner at a local restaurant before our overnight at the Hampton Inn & Suites, Memphis

March 22 (B,D)
  • Bonjour (Good day)! Welcome to New Orleans, where we will be staying four nights at the AC Hotel by Marriott New Orleans French Quarter
  • A must-try while in New Orleans are beignets. Beignets are a staple treat likened to a hole-less, square donut doused in powdered sugar. Caution: You may not want to wear dark colored clothing while enjoying this treat as you will very likely be covered in that sugar!
  • A unique experience awaits you at the New Orleans School of Cooking! You will enjoy a very hands-on experience creating and enjoying a delicious dinner with a skilled Louisiana chef

March 23 (B)
  • “Laissez le bon temps rouler” (Cajun French – English translation “Let the good times roll!”). We’ll experience a more in-depth look of “The Big Easy” with a city tour conducted by a local guide knowledgeable on the sights, music, and culture of this city steeped in history
  • Overlooking Jackson Square is the St. Louis Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in continuous use in the United States
  • With our visit to the National World War II Museum (formerly known as the D-Day Museum), we will be immersed in the history of the “war that changed the world”. The mission of the museum is to underscore for all generations the price of freedom
  • We’ll take a behind the scenes look at Mardi Gras World, where colorful Mardi Gras floats are created
  • Enjoy a free night in “The Big Easy”, overflowing with food, culture and music options

March 24 (B)
  • Not a usual start to the day… a Native Cajun Captain will accompany us on our Cajun Pride Swamp Tour explorations, sharing Louisiana bayou history along with searching for native wildlife
  • Avery Island is truly unique in that it sits on top of a solid rock salt deposit. This rock salt deposit is thought to be deeper than Mount Everest is high. It is also the birthplace of TABASCO ® brand pepper sauce
  • Our self-guided tour of the TABASCO ® factory will take us through the history and process for making this world-renowned sauce. And yes, in their store it is available for purchase
  • This area, also known as New Iberia, hosts a 170-acre natural beauty known as Jungle Gardens. The gardens are teeming with beautiful foliage, a timber bamboo grove, and a wide variety of wildlife that includes snowy white egrets
  • The evening is free to enjoy dining on your own. Cajun food anyone? Or maybe gumbo, Po'boys, jambalaya, crawfish Etouffee, red beans and rice… the options are endless

March 25 (B,D)
  • You get to choose how you spend your day! In the heart of New Orleans, enjoy time on your own exploring and eating lunch in the historic French Market area, which surrounds you with the sights, smells and sounds that make New Orleans famous
  • At dinner together this evening, we’ll have a fun time hearing about everyone’s explorations!

March 26 (B,D)
  • We start our day with a drive to Birmingham AL
  • Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a city tour with a knowledgeable step-on guide
