Daily Itinerary:

Gathering Night- September 10
  • Group air transportation is available on this tour as an optional upgrade package. If group air is not taken, meet the group in Boston, MA on September 11, 2022 at Logan Airport to begin the tour. Please make sure to schedule your flight to arrive prior to the start of the tour
  • For those travelers purchasing the group air package departing from IOWA, INDIANA and MINNESOTA, you will enjoy a transfer to our Chicagoland hotel for a gathering overnight and complimentary breakfast the next morning. Travelers purchasing the group air package departing from ILLINOIS and WISCONSIN can either arrive on your own in the Chicagoland area for a complimentary gathering overnight and breakfast; or choose to wait and join the group on September 11 from one of our identified Illinois and Wisconsin pick-up locations
  • For those spending the gathering overnight at the Chicagoland hotel, get acquainted with fellow travelers and your tour manager

DAY 1- September 11 
  • We start our adventure with a visit to “America’s Hometown” - Plymouth
  • Our photo stops will include the National Monument to the Forefathers that welcomes those who come by water, and Plymouth Rock, the traditional site of Pilgrim disembarkation
  • Enjoy the views as we continue on to Cape Cod to The Cape Codder Resort, our home-away-from-home
  • After a day of travel, we’ll gather together for dinner Cape Codder Resort & Spa - Hyannis, MA (D)
DAY 2- September 12
  • All aboard! From the Hy-Line Docks we will board a ferry for our day on Nantucket
  • We’ll view the island’s sites and learn about its past and the present from our local guide
  • Enjoy time on your own for lunching, shopping and exploring. [Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes, as one of Nantucket’s charms are the cobblestone streets and brick sidewalks]
  • We’ll enjoy dining together tonight. Cape Codder Resort & Spa - Hyannis, MA (B,D)
DAY 3- September 13
  • We start our day with a guided tour of Hyannis, including the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Hyannisport and a view of St. Francis Xavier Church (Kennedy family’s summer parish)
  • Explore the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum
  • Enjoy time on your own for lunching, shopping and exploring
  • Continuing on, we travel to Sandwich, the oldest town on Cape Cod
  • We’ll be surrounded by beautiful art blown from molten glass at the Sandwich Glass Museum
  • Cape Cod Canal Visitors Center offers interactive exhibits and insights into maritime history
  • After a full day of touring, we join together for dinner Cape Codder Resort & Spa - Hyannis, MA (B,D)
DAY 4- September 14
  • As we travel Old King’s Highway, we’ll see interesting sites, along with a visit to the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitors Center
  • Enjoy time eating lunch on your own and exploring the many shops and galleries in Provincetown, also known as “Land’s End” and the acknowledged site of the Mayflower’s landing in 1620
  • Ahoy! We’ll board an excursion vessel for a whale watching tour with an onboard naturalist – OR – for those who may wish to stay on “Dry Land,” enjoy a Cape Cod National Seashore Dunes Tour
  • Prior to a restful night, we’ll come together for dinner Cape Codder Resort & Spa - Hyannis, MA (B,D)
DAY 5- September 15
  • All aboard! From the Hy-Line Docks we will again board a ferry – this time to Martha’s Vineyard
  • Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a sightseeing tour and learn the history and lifestyles of the islanders
  • In Edgartown, a historic whaling town on Martha’s Vineyard, enjoy lunching and shopping
  • Continuing on, Oak Bluffs “Cottage City” with its brightly painted cottages and decorative gingerbread trim is a must-see!
  • Upon our return to the mainland, a lobster dinner awaits us (alternate entrées will be available for any "landlubbers" not wishing to eat shellfish) Cape Codder Resort & Spa - Hyannis, MA (B,D)
DAY 6- September 16
  • We bid a fond farewell to Cape Cod as we start our journey home
  • For those travelers who purchased the group air package, upon disembarking from the plane at Chicago O’Hare, you will be greeted by your transfer driver for your return trip to your chosen tour departure location
  • You return home with wonderful memories, unique personal photos and tales of your adventure to share with family and friends. (B)
