Daily Itinerary:

DAY 1    3 Oct 2017 Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy 04:00 PM
Board the new ms Koningsdam
DAY 2    4 Oct 2017 At Sea
DAY 3    5 Oct 2017 Alicante, Spain 08:00 AM 04:00 PM
Stroll among the palms, shops and cafés of the beachfront Explanada de España. Explore the high-baroque Cathedral de San Nicolas de Bari or the Castillo of Santa Barbara, a 16th-century castle with splendid views of Costa Blanca.
DAY 4   6 Oct 2017 Malaga, Spain 08:00 AM 06:00 PM
Every city is a palimpsest, but Malaga takes it to an extreme. The walls of its Phoenician ur-city are visible in the basement of the Picasso Museum. The best-preserved Moorish citadel in Spain is located next to the Roman theater, which was rediscovered in 1951. The nearby caverns of Nerja provided refuge to humans 30,000 years ago and modern tourists alight along the Costa Del Sol during the eight-month-long summer season. Cruise guests can visit the old castles, the museums, and the beaches. Or chew some scenery with a Malaga sweet wine and a plate of tapas.
DAY 5   7 Oct 2017 Cadiz (Seville), Spain 08:00 AM 06:00 PM
Few Spanish cities if any anywhere can boast the history of Cadiz, founded by ancient Phoenicians. Columbus himself began his second voyage from this trading hub. Today, views from the sea reveal vestiges of its colorful history, such as the Cathedral whose golden tiled dome fits perfectly into the cityscape and its colonial sensibility. Notice both Baroque and Neoclassical architectural styles on tours through town, or walk the narrow lanes of the Jewish Quarter, the expanse of the Plaza de Espana, or the halls of the Museo de Bellas Artes for one the most treasured collections in Spain. Or visit one of the three UNESCO World Heritage sites — the Alcazar, the Seville Cathedral, and the Archivo de Indias.
DAY 6   8 Oct 2017 At Sea
DAY 7   9 Oct 2017 Funchal (Madeira), Portugal 08:00 AM
Tropical colors pop bright and beautiful and sunshine prevails in the Madeira Islands, where it stays pleasant and comfortable all year. Plus, the plants that grow here show their appreciation for the sunshine and caretakers by offering up a worldwide attraction in floral variety. Think rich emerald greens, azure seas, perfect little beaches, and well protected natural habitats. While in the Bay, note the reds of rooftops and blooming hibiscus flowers. Take advantage of the variety of attractions on shore, from street markets to cable car rides up to fantastic vistas.
