This morning we head north to the Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour.  Watch the world’s largest jets assembled in the world’s largest building by volume. Begin in the Boeing Theater by viewing an amazing film about how the Boeing Everett aircraft assembly plant has changed the world. We return to Seattle to visit Pike Place Market, the oldest continuously-operating market in the United States.  We will have time to shop and enjoy lunch on our own at this fascinating multi-level bazaar, where we can buy anything from an old clock to an octopus! This afternoon we enjoy a sightseeing harbor cruise with wonderful views of the city. We then visit the Seattle Center, site of the 1962 World's Fair.  This is an experience high above Seattle in the World Famous Space Needle. Time to wander through the exhibits of the Chihuly Garden Garden & Glass.  Dinner is on our own this evening at one of the many restaurants Seattle has to offer. Double Tree Airport - Seattle, WA  (B)
Depart Seattle and journey south to visit the Mt. St. Helen’s Visitor’s Center at Silver Lake. Here, we will witness nature’s awesome destructive power along with its incredible ability to recover.  We then enter Oregon as we travel to the Pacific Coast and the mouth of the Columbia River.  Experience Oregon the way Oregonians do, with a sense of humor and adventure! Arrive in Astoria with a stop for lunch on own and an amazing view from The Astoria Column.  In the afternoon, stop for a tour of Fort Clatsop National Historic Park.  This is the site where the 33 member Lewis and Clark Expedition wintered from December 7, 1805, until March 23, 1806. The facility includes the reconstructed fort, a visitor center/museum, historical exhibits, canoe landing, spring and trails through the rainforest of young Sitka spruce and western hemlock.  Continue down Hwy 101 with spectacular views of the Oregon Coast on the way to Seaside, Oregon’s first resort townand our home for the night.  We check in to our oceanfront hotel and have the evening free to wander on the beach and have dinner on our own. Shilo Inn & Suites - Seaside, OR  (B)
We continue down the spectacular Oregon Coast this morning and stop in Tillamook, Oregon's leading dairy producing region and home of the Tillamook Cheese Factory.  Learn all about the history of the cheese plant, watch cheese being made and pick up a tasty souvenir.  Top off our visit with a scoop of Tillamook ice cream.  Then depart Tillamook and arrive in Lincoln City for a Pacific Northwest culinary demonstration and lunch at the Culinary Center.  The Culinary Center features seasonally-inspired cooking and focuses on the abundant foods of the Pacific Northwest. After lunch, enjoy a short tour of this historic city then continue south along the rugged Oregon Coast to Newport where we tour The Oregon Coast Aquarium. After a full day of adventure, we check into our Newport hotel with the rest of the evening free to explore and have dinner on our own.  Elizabeth Street Inn -  Newport, OR  (B,L)

The Oregon Coast is famous as one of North America's top ten most scenic drives.  As we travel south this morning, enjoy a picture stop at Cape Perpetua, a designated National Scenic area. Some call it the ‘rugged edge of the Oregon coast’ where the sun and surf meet to leave us spellbound and breathless. Continue down the coast to the National Dunes Recreation Area for an exciting Dune Buggy Ride, a more scenic way to see the Oregon Dunes with a touch of excitement. Climbing and descending through the most beautiful, impressive dunes will be an unforgettable experience.  Then travel inland following the beautiful Umpqua River making our way to Eugene and then on to Portland.  Visit the International Rose Test Gardens with a Master Gardener.  Founded in 1917, Portland’s International Rose Test Garden is the oldest official, continuously operated public rose test garden in the United States.  We’ll hear secrets, fun facts, and behind-the-scenes mysteries of the Garden.  Before checking into our hotel there is free time to explore Portland and the many culinary delights found in this wonderful Pacific Northwest City. Holiday Inn Airport - Portland, OR  (B)
This morning, travel east through the Columbia River Gorge via the inside scenic route on our way to Multnomah Falls, the largest of a series of 11 waterfalls in the area, and one of the four highest in the United States.  After time to photograph the cascading torrents of water, a short drive brings us to Bonneville Dam ... the dam that tames the roaring Columbia River.  Enjoy a self-guided tour of the visitor’s center, with its underwater salmon-viewing windows, before making our way to Hood River and Timberline Lodge, nestled on the slopes of Mt. Hood.  This National Historic Landmark, built of timber and stone in the 1930's, is a skiing museum, as well as a year-round resort for skiers, hikers, and tourists.  Enjoy time for lunch on own in the dining room of the main building, with spectacular views spreading out before us in all directions.  After our mountain experience, return to our overnight accommodations in Portland.  This evening we enjoy a farewell dinner as we prepare to say good-bye to the Pacific Northwest. Holiday Inn Airport - Portland, OR  (B,D)
We return north with the motorcoach to the Seattle Airport for our return flight.  (B)
