Daily Itinerary:

DAY 1 We depart Chicago and make our way to our home for the night in Nashville, TN. Dinner is included this evening. Drury Inn & Suites – Nashville, TN (D)

This morning we make our way to MacGregor Stables for a guided tour at one of the most prestigious horse farms in Tennessee. It is the home of the world famous Tennessee Walking Horses. After lunch on own we continue to Hundred Oaks Castle originally built as a plantation farmhouse in the 1830’s. It has now been beautifully restored and we enjoy a guided tour. Continue on to Chattanooga and our home for the next 2 nights. Dinner is included this evening. Springhill Suites – Chattanooga, TN (B,D)

This morning we experience the thrill of “America’s Most Amazing Mile” as we ride the world’s steepest passenger railway up historic Lookout Mountain. At the top we will have a Ranger Guided Tour at Point Park Battlefield and then visit Battles for Chattanooga Museum to learn about “Battle Above the Clouds” where Gen Sherman launched an assault before his March to the Sea. This afternoon is an adventure aboard the Chattanooga Ducks where we enjoy a tour of downtown and on the Tennessee River. Next we visit the International Towing Museum to visit beautiful historical exhibits of restored antique tow trucks and recovery equipment dating back to 1916 including Packards and Manley & Weaver equipment. We make our way to the Dutch Maid Bakery, Tennessee’s Oldest Family Bakery where we enjoy a talk on their history and a demonstration. Next we make our way to Nashville and visit the Country Music Hall of Fame. The museum recently doubled in size and our visit includes numerous permanent and rotating exhibits along with the Hall of Fame Rotunda. We will see the craftsmanship of the entertainers costumes and memorabilia from veteran and new artists. A must see in Nashville. Next we take a walk through the Man in Black’s life as we experience the legend at the new Johnny Cash Museum. Dinner is included this evening. Drury Inn & Suites – Nashville, TN (B,D)

We make our way home to the Chicago area with fond memories of our tour arriving early this evening. (B)
